Luxor Appoints Taiga as its IBS 2000® Distributor for Eastern Canada

Luxor Industrial Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Taiga Building Products as the sole distributor for its patented IBS 2000® Load Sharing Connectors in eastern Canada. Taiga will distribute IBS 2000® for application with lumber joists and engineered I-joists. Taiga and Luxor will expand distribution of IBS 2000® from Luxor's existing market in Ontario to Quebec and the Maritime provinces. Taiga is Canada's largest independent distributor of building products with 15 facilities serving business centers across Canada including 5 in eastern Canada.

As a leader in distribution of building materials, Taiga has committed to promoting and servicing the traditional lumber joist market for IBS 2000® to its extensive customer base in eastern Canada.

In addition, Taiga will use the added span and floor system cost advantages to increase its competitive position in its engineered wood products (EWP) business sector. Taiga is the Canadian distributor for Louisiana Pacific Corporation's engineered wood products such as the LPI® I-joists. Taiga is the biggest customer for LPI I-joists in North America. The IBS 2000® has been incorporated into Taiga's Keybuild® software program in order that Taiga's EWP dealers can design the IBS 2000® connectors with the LPI® I-joists. Taiga will market its EWP products using IBS 2000® as one of the integral components of a complete floor system.
